Our History
Founded in 1979 by John Svendsen, Classique Plastics is a New Zealand-based leader in plastics and acrylic fabrication. John's journey from a Canadian Air Force radar technician to a passionate plastic artisan laid the foundation for our success.
Initially a small flower shop in Napier, our pivot into acrylic products and rotational moulding marked the start of our innovation journey. In 1985, John's son, Allen, joined, and we built our own rotation moulder with bi-axial arms, expanding our clientele to national companies.
Our growth led to several relocations, with our current 3200 square metre factory in place since 1990. Notable milestones include a large rotational moulder in 1999 and the acquisition of Woodham and Snap-it in 2017.
In 2002, we expanded with an additional 900 square-metre factory, housing a 192-cubic-metre oven for large-scale acrylic work. We've also diversified into sheet metal and engineering, offering comprehensive solutions.
Classique Plastics is your "one-stop plastics shop," committed to innovation and craftsmanship. Join us in shaping the future of plastics and acrylic fabrication.
